Spend a day in the Dissecting room studying face anatomy on human Cadavers.

Learn face Anatomy on Cadavers to ensure effective aesthetic treatments and avoid complications of dermal fillers and botulinum toxin.

The cadavers are very carefully dissected prosections that allow you the rare opportunity to learn the exact anatomy of face:

A full day course from 9am till 5pm. Morning for anatomy for botulinum toxin, Afternoon for dermal fillers. Details below:

Reception, Registration, Introductions

Morning Session - Anatomy for Botox:

The morning session is divided in two parts:

Part 1: Lecture on anatomy of face muscles and their actions in relation to Botox treatments:

  • Exact anatomic Locations and Functions of face muscles for botulinum toxin
  • Depth of muscles – should the botulinum toxin injection be superficial or deep for various muscles
  • How to ensure that you target the correct muscles and do not cause facial droop or asymmetry
  • How to avoid complications of botulinum toxin
  • Botox related anatomy for the following areas and treatments:
    • Forehead, Glabella, Eyes
    • Bunny lines
    • Drooping tip of nose
    • Gummy smile
    • Smokers lines
    • Drooping angle of mouth
    • Cobbled chin
    • Lower face botox, Nefertiti, platysma bands
    • Masseter

Part 2: Delegates taken to cadaver prosections and bodies:

  • hands on all face muscles
  • exact location of muscles
  • exact depth of muscles
  • thickness of various muscles
  • look, feel and understand how the various muscles are related to each other and what effects botulinum toxin treatments can have on them
  • discuss the techniques to help improve botox treatments, and
  • avoid complications

Hands on practice with needles to learn to target the correct location and depth of various face muscles and areas

Afternoon Session - Anatomy for Dermal Fillers:

The afternoon session is also divided in two parts:

Part 1: Lecture on anatomy of vital structures related to dermal fillers:

  • Blood vessels (arteries, veins) - Exact location, depth and plane of blood vessels to ensure that you are injecting safe and avoid vascular complications
  • Nerves – location, depth and plane
  • Fat pads – location, depth and plane, to ensure your filler injections are accurately placed
  • Safe locations and depths for fillers on various face areas:
    • Forehead
    • Nose
    • Under eyes
    • Cheeks
    • Lips and perioral
    • Chin
    • Jaw
    • Temples

Part 2: Delegates are taken to cadaver prosections and bodies:

  • hands on blood vessels - their location and depth
  • hands on important nerves of face – location and depth
  • hands on fat pads – superficial and deep

Hand on practice with needles and cannulas to help understand how to inject dermal fillers effectively and safely, and avoid complications.
